Home improvement trends are constantly evolving, as homeowners look for ways to make their homes more comfortable, stylish, and energy-efficient.

Here at Somerset Property Services, we’ve seen all sorts of trends come and go over the years, but here’s our top home improvement trends of 2023 that we’ve had the pleasure of being involved with.

Sustainability and energy efficiency projects. With rising energy costs and concerns about climate change, homeowners have been looking for ways to make their homes more sustainable and energy-efficient. We’ve helped lots of customers with building projects that aim to improve energy efficiency. This has included taking down and rebuilding old buildings that are unusable due to a lack of damp course or haven’t been built in accordance with the correct regulations leaving an unusable cold space. We then replace them with a more energy efficient and sustainable solution for the client to enjoy.

Outdoor living space improvements. As people continue to spend more time at home, they are looking for ways to maximise their living space, including outdoors. We’ve worked on a huge range of projects such as garden landscaping as well as building new decking and pergolas and installing new patios, which allows customers to enjoy their outside space more as well as adding value to their property.

Personalising interior spaces for different needs. Homeowners are increasingly looking to create homes that reflect their personality and their overall needs.
